At Coop Broadhurst, we try to ensure that learning can be put into a real-life context where possible.  This term Year 4 were able to extend their learning about chocolate (their learning challenge for this term) by taking part in a chocolate workshop in school.

It was great to welcome back former pupil Holly Jackson, who now works as a pastry chef in London.  The children were able to watch a demonstration, which included working with chocolate and decorating their own slabs of chocolate.  They thoroughly enjoyed the session and loved being creative with their chocolate creations.

The children also had the opportunity to talk to Holly and ask her questions about her job and her journey towards it.  I wonder if we now have any budding chocolatiers in Year 4!
